A brief explanation - What is National Ammo Day?
November 19 is National Ammo Day.
It is a nationwide BUYcott of ammunition. You buy ammunition. 100 Rounds a person.
The goals of Ammo Day:
The goal of National Ammo Day is to empty the ammunition from the shelves of your local gun store, sporting goods, or hardware store and put that ammunition in the hands of law-abiding citizens. Make your support of the Second Amendment known--by voting with your dollars!
There are an estimated 75 MILLION gun owners in the United States of America. If each gun owner or Second Amendment supporter buys 100 rounds of ammunition, that’s 7.5 BILLION rounds in the hands of law-abiding citizens!
The gun/ammunition manufacturers have been taking the brunt of all the frivolous lawsuits, trying to put these folks out of business. Well, not if we can help it! And we CAN help it by buying ammunition on November 19!
Comments
I was on the fence regarding buying some more ammo for one of my rifles. What the heck, I’ll make my purchase on the 19th.

I highly support this effort & plan to buy lots of ammo. It is very important that we all support those who supply our ammunition.

Monday isn’t a good day around Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Ranges are closed on Mondays

That’s why the buying period is not only Nov 19, Walt. It would be great if every year Ammo Day fell on a convenient day, but it doesn’t always. We expanded the Ammo Day purchasing period to always include the bookend weekends.
If you CAN buy on the 19th, PERFECT, but if your stores (or religious observances) make that impossible, go on the nearest to the date you can.
We would ask that any communications you make with your Representatives occur on the 19th, for best impact.
Thanks!

How about we don’t purchase any ammo on the 19th to send a message to the manufactures that the price gouging better stop, or we’ll simply reload everything we shoot.

Where to buy. Can I buy online from Bass Pro shop or some other Outdoor store?

I wish I was in the states (currently in turkey for another year) and could buy at least 100 rounds of ammo. I guess I could mail order but my family might think something is weird if a box of .40sw showed up for my glock.
